Motivated by my mid 20’s age and a strong desire to make positive lifestyle changes, I found myself on a mission to shed pounds and reach a healthier BMI. In this article, I will share the steps I took and the challenges I faced on my journey to achieve my weight loss goals.

Committing to a Healthier Lifestyle:

Recognizing that weight loss is not a quick fix, I made a conscious decision to adopt a healthier lifestyle. My plan included logging my daily calorie intake into a deficit app, incorporating regular walks into my routine, and exploring weight training exercises to build muscle. With the knowledge that weight loss is a gradual process, I remained committed, patient, and focused on my ultimate goal of attaining a BMI of 45.

Challenges Encountered:

Despite my determination, I faced several challenges along the way. One of the main obstacles was the expectation that weight loss would occur easily. Starting at 321lbs with a height of 5’4″, I managed to lose 56lbs, bringing my weight down to 265lbs. With my BMI now within the required range for IVF, I am one step closer to fulfilling the dream of starting a family.

While the journey was not always easy, it was undoubtedly worth it. The lessons learned along the way, such as patience, adaptability, and perseverance, have prepared me not only for IVF but also for a healthier and more fulfilling life. I hope my story serves as a reminder that with determination, support, and a personalized approach, we can overcome challenges and achieve our most cherished goals.
