Okay, before I receive any comments about the title sounding extreme, I believe the measuring scale I have been using is incorrect. I recall my parents mentioning that it was the last time they used it to measure a suitcase. So, that’s something to consider, haha.
Anyway, throughout my entire life, I used to be skinny until I gained some weight over the past year. To be honest, I don’t really care about being muscular or how I look without a shirt on. All I really care about is how clothes fit me. Unfortunately, most of the weight I gained ended up in my pecs, and it looks pretty strange when I wear certain shirts. That’s why I really want to lose this weight.
I used to run a lot, so I’ve been getting back into it. In the past three months, I’ve gone from running ten miles a week to running 32 miles this week. I’ll probably be consistently running 40+ miles in a week or two. I have no idea if this is even helping or not.
As for eating, I already don’t eat much. In the past month, I’ve started eating even less.
Some people have suggested that I need to gain muscle and that it’s not really fat. My two issues with that are, while it may be true for the rest of my body, my pecs or upper chest area definitely have fat. Also, I am terrible at working out and have no clue where to start. I’ve been trying to get into calisthenics since I don’t have access to a gym, and unfortunately, there’s no suitable place in my house for a pull-up bar (I ordered two, and neither worked, lol).
So yeah, I’m not sure where to begin. Is there a way to lose this weight without developing an eating disorder? Will running something crazy like 60 miles a week do it? I would happily do that since I genuinely love running, regardless of weight loss. Please help, guys.
